Isms in the Kitchen Part 5 - A few of our favorite things

We've gotten a few questions about what we DO eat, so here are some shots of our favorites (in addition to the photos in the interviews.) I wouldn't say we have tried everything out there, but pretty close to it. I am still working on making a lot of these from scratch, but sense EVERYTHING has to be homemade, it's nice to have some pre-packaged stuff to make us feel a little more normal. (Our oldest daughter, Ellie, has to stay a way from many of the typical GFCF products because she is also highly reactive to safflower oil, which is in lots of organic products - tough one to navigate around, but God is kind and we are managing. :)

We love almost all things Udi. Kinnikinnick makes the best waffles so far. French Meadow Bakery has the best cookies, brownies and tortillas. Daiya cheese is a great dairy and soy free choice for Annie, but sadly it has safflower oil in it that Ellie can't tolerate. Annie really loves Schar brand foods too - so much so there weren't any at home to photograph.

Our latest and greatest find is King Arthur Flours Gluten Free line of mixes. We are now addicted to the pancakes! Add and few Enjoy Life allergy friendly chocolate chips and it's practically Ihop at our house. Barney Almond Butter is also a new staple. For fun, "normal" looking snacks we like the FruitaBu fruit roll ups, Stretch Island Fruit Co. fruit strips, and Brothers All Natural Fruit Crisps. The roll ups and strips have more sugar (all natural sugars) than we'd like, but sometimes you just gotta have hit.

OK, Chloe is not gluten, dairy or anything else free - but she is one of our favorite things. ;)
